hi. my name is Mounie. i think you're o so talented!! but um.. i have a layout site on myspae. im in love with webdesign, ive been doin it less than 2 months and i learned a lot really but i want to ask if you could help me with something. I recently went on a layout site that look like this:

Hi Mounie, it's great to hear you're interested in web design - it's something I love too. :)

One of the first things you'll find with web design is there are often so many ways to do something quite similar. It's just a matter of finding what works best depending on your goals.

Without trying to scare you off by dumping you straight into some hard-core geekery, this page is heavenly for learning different and standards-based techniques:

» Web Developer's Handbook.

It's really quite simple to make a mouse-over effect with some css styling, or you could do it with some simple JavaScript too. I'll email you a couple of examples.
