Cara on TV!
I was asked to talk about a game that I'm really into, World of Warcraft. I was actually a bit worried about how it would come across - I found it difficult to talk about the game without using too much tech speak. So there was a bit of umming going on but generally I think it turned out okay. :)
» watch the video stream on the good game website
My name was mispelled though, they sometimes used kara not cara - only in some places though. Oh wells!
I have to say it was so exciting to watch - when junglist hearthstoned to my house we all cheered and our eyes were glued to the screen! Though to be honest I was more excited to see my character on tv than my own face - very funny to see me and 4 guildies (all level 60 characters) owning up Ragefire, dancing on the Orgrimmar bank, and footage of my priest with a sword equipped. My roomie rang afterwards - he was so excited to see his fridge on TV! Hehe!
I'm so glad that there's now a TV show like this. The guys did a great job presenting and it was really enjoyable to sit around and watch with my friends and have a laugh.

Hey Sheridan, sweetie you're definately not alone! :)
I actually know quite a few girl gamers (and WoW players) - and they're all great chicks!! there tends to be a slightly higher population of girls playing WoW than other games it seems.
My guess is, it's the social aspect of the game, and probably the fantasy genre. I know I hate those war-based type games so I steer clear of those.
Hello,
Just popped in to say hello!
How is your WOW career? I have a love hate relationship with it at the moment: WOW is bad for achievement driven people who have also value their social life, such long playing hours required. Ive decided its only fully engaged, or disengaged with no possible middle ground. So I've taken a bit of a break from the WOW and casually playing an adventure PC game called DREAMFALL: THE LONGEST JOURNEY. Not a lot of microskills required but very engaging, with a female lead character and a really interesting story.
Hope you are well.
Sheridan
PS any other TV appearances coming up?

Hi Cara,
Just wanted to let you know that it was great feeling last night to find that I am not alone as an Australian female WOW player. I certainly don't meet the stereotype either as a check out guy in the supermarket pointed out to me when he saw my wow card in my wallet the other day.
Come say hello on www.myspace.com/sheridan_sureshot
if you have the time.
I'm looking at possibly getting a website going for my music photography and want a girls touch, so it would be good to discuss this further if your interested. sheridan_leanda(at)hotmail.com
